My first ETSY order!!!

I got my first ETSY order!!
She ordered a Christmas ribbon onesie, just like the one I made for baby Harper.
It turned out real cute,  I really like how it looks with the name on it too.

It's pretty exciting when someone else likes your product!
...and the ruffle BUTT!

Christmas Ribbon Shirt

My friend, Jamie, gave me some plain white onesies for Harper! I couldn't wait to get after them with the ribbon. I have my c-section scheduled for December 16th, so she'll definitely need some Christmas outfits.
Sooo.....RED AND GREEN theme is was!!

I did the "Ruffle Butt" for my sisters. We are BIG FANS!!

...and a matching bow.
I also made one for Marley, because I'm sure I'll make her a shirt to match.
I'm having too much fun with two little girls, and Harper is not even here yet!

Crayon Roll

I have been wanting to make one of these for a long time, and for some reason I was intimidated. Just looking at it, it seemed like there would be a ton of steps. I have seen them before at craft shows and at a craft mall. They also carry them at the HIGH DOLLAR boutique I frequent for new ideas!!  :)

So, this morning I was inspired! I feel like I have been making a ton of stuff for Harper, and I wanted to make something special for Marley. I went blog hunting..... and this is the tutorial I found Here.

MaRLeY's:

I changed it up a bit... I added Velcro so that she could close it herself.

Fall Overalls

I love to take fall pictures at our local farmer's market, The Farm Patch.
So this year I decided to make my Marley some fall themed overalls!
I LOVE fall colors.
I added ribbon and ric rac everywhere. I would have been a little bummed, because I was using her favorite overalls (and the only thing her dad will dress her in) but the last time she wore them I noticed they were getting pretty short. So, I figured we would atleast give them a GRAND exit!!

....and her fall pictures turned out great!!!

Someone else liked them too!
A friend of mine ordered some from me.
I made them tonight, and can't wait to see little Mina in her overalls!!!

Fancy Wipey Cases

In the post "Decoupage Frenzy" I explained how to make the travel wipe cases.
These actually require NO SEWING!!
I just like to add a special touch with the ribbon on the front, but I have made several that are just as cute.

This is a great project for an inexpensive baby shower gift.

I recently went to one of our local baby boutiques to scope out some new project inspiration, and they had some for sale for $38. So, it's definitely worth busting out the old glue gun to save a ton!!

Here are some more examples of ones I have made.

Ribbon Shirts

I really wanted to make a set of  "big sister/ little sister"  shirts for my girls!!

So, I bought two pink shirts from Walmart. I then added ribbon across the front. I doubled up on it, and put a coordinating smaller ribbon to match on top of the first one. Then I added a BOW!!!  I did this on both shirts, but I kinda switched up the ribbons so they weren't exactly alike.

I was then going to add "Harper's Big Sister", and "Marley's little sister".....but I couldn't. They were too cute just how they were. (My mother-in-law agreed)
I guess I now have reason to start another project!

I can't wait to start making these for Holidays too!
I think christmas ones would be super cute.

I also made some hair bows to match. I sure hope Baby Harper is born with alot of hair, because she already has a large bow selection!

Decoupaging Frenzy

I went a little overboard with the decoupage....just a little. :)

It all started with the wipey case I made for my little Christmas Baby. I made the fancy wipey case by, first, hot gluing felt to either side of a  Huggies travel size case. I like to do two layers on the top so you can't see the little indentation left from the small door thingy. I then sewed on my ribbon and embroidered her name on the top piece of fabric. Next, I glued around the edge,  placed the fabric panels on it , trimmed the excess fabric, and put trim around the edges. I finished it off with a little bow!

I love it!!

After I completed it, and it sat in Harper's room all by itself I knew I had to make a matching wipey box for her room. I have seen some done in the same way you do the travel ones, but I wanted something that I could wipe clean after those DIRTY jobs. So I decided to decoupage it.

To decoupage you basically cover what you want the fabric or paper on with MOD PODGE. You then place the fabric on top of the guey mess, then slap another coat of mod podge on top.

That's when it all went a little crazy....While waiting for the wipey box to dry, I decoupaged a bottle of hand sterilizer and a candle. They all turned out pretty cute.
(even though the candle is no longer functional)

Travel wipey case and her new friends:

In Harper's Room :)....and YES I have been eyeing that Balmex and the lotion.
I ran out of MOD PODGE!

The birth of my blog.....

I am attempting this whole BLOGGING thing!
I have no idea how I will do with it.
I LOVE to make things.
I definitely would not call myself a professional, but I have come to realize that most things are pretty easy to make. Especially after I GOOGLE it!!

Two years ago I asked my mom for a sewing Machine for Christmas. She got me a singer from Target for $89. I really had no idea how to sew, but I knew I wanted to. I had a one year old at the time, and she LOVED those silky snuggly blankets. She calls them her Mimis!! I wanted to make her some, like I had seen in our local baby boutique for $50. I did, and haven't stopped since!!!

Recently, my wonderful mom bought me an upgrade! I got a brother sewing/embroidery machine. I am expecting another little girl, and I had a large pile of things I had to take to the place that will embroider names on them. I was really bummed, because all the money I saved making her blankets and mimis was spent putting her name on them.
 They charge $10 a piece!

I love my new sewing machine, and have not gone more than two days without using it! I have figured out how to squeeze my craft projects in during nap time.  During this two hour time period I manage to get a lot done. I don't know how it will go with the newbie that's on her way, but I'm sure I'll figure out a way to get my craft fix!!

Sewing isn't the only way I get my fix! It's just my craft of choice at the moment,
I also enjoy Scrapbooking, painting, decoupaging, re-purposing,
home improvements, and decorating.
I will pretty much try anything. *Spoken like a true addict:)

I decided to create this blog to share what I am doing. I would love to answer any questions about the things I have made, and help you with your creations. I am in NO way a professional, and I am learning a ton from just jumping in and doing it.
